It reads fine to me (and oh my goodness, another Libriomancer book, I am totally excited!).

I guess one nitpick is that Copper River and Tamarack don't exactly seem...connected in the summary? Is the river in Tamarack, or somewhere else? (I apologize if it's somewhere else, or where Isaac is supposed to be working--it's been a while since I read the first book!)

Anyhow, I think some clarification might help, but otherwise, I love it!
