For me it's not so much fixing things as I write, as it is yelling at myself before the words even get onto the screen that I'm showing not telling/doing "as you know, Bob"/various other writerly sins that are really meant to be fixed in editing, except I'm getting in ahead of the curve. Sigh. One day I'll learn.
