I'll have to remember not to buy those books if they ever come up in my daily newsletters, I checked my iBooks library and have none of them.

I went to DragonCon in 2001, the year Battlefield Earth came out. The Church bought an entire row in the dealer's room, shilling the movie and also selling copies of Dianetics and every other L. Ron book that they had available. You could watch people approaching that aisle and then cross to the other side to keep as far as possible from those people while walking by. I never saw many people working their booth, but I remember one guy in that booth looking particularly forlorn.
