These people must really hate women. A "no exceptions" abortion ban? Two percent of all pregnancies are ectopic. That means one in every fifty pregnant persons is going to die when their fallopian tube ruptures. Maybe they can save all of them, operating at the last minute and using up the nation's blood supply on a preventable emergency.
I've read a couple accounts of women whose wanted babies died in utero and without access to abortion, they had to carry the dead fetus to full-term and pray the toxins did not kill them before them. Debbie Reynolds wrote of this in The Choices We Made. Besides the health risk, there is the emotional trauma of people not knowing the baby died and still asking the mother when it's due, what name they've picked out, etc.
In the news now is the 10-year-old rape victim who was denied an abortion because she was 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant. How do they expect a 10-year-old child whose body is not fully formed to push out a baby? What a horrible, horrible trauma to put her through on top of the rape.
