Friday seems to have a broken LJ/DW crossposter. So here I am, copying and pasting the post like a primitive!

You're not alone among those trying to keep crossposting and running into troubles this week, I've noticed. Three or four other friendlisters of mine report similar issues.

See recent posts in dw_news and dw_maintenance, and also https://dw-dev.dreamwidth.org/221358.html . And change your password on both LJ and DW if you haven't in a while.

And after changing your password(s) on LJ, do not forget to go into your crosspost settings and plug the new password(s) into the crossposting engine. I am 95% sure that forgetting to do that is what got my other LJ a "temporarily banned" notice earlier this week; the DW crossposter was trying to get into the corresponding LJ with the old password rather than the new one.
